This section provides adapted lessons and tools to help middle school students working on alternate academic achievement standards explore data, chance, and decision-making in meaningful ways.

Aligned with the Common Core Essential Elements (CCEE), these materials are designed to support students as they:

• Collect, organize, and interpret data using charts, graphs, and visuals
• Explore concepts of likelihood, probability, and making predictions
• Connect math to real-life contexts such as weather, games, and everyday choices
• Build understanding through scaffolded instruction, visual supports, and hands-on practice

All resources incorporate Universal Design for Learning (UDL) strategies to make abstract concepts concrete, accessible, and engaging for a wide range of learners.
